1. Choose a location
Choosing the proper location is essential to starting your garden. You will need to determine based on the space you have available if you want to have a personal, small, medium or large garden. The ideal location will get a lot of sun. The amount of sunlight will change depending on the seasons, so keep that in mind when choosing your spot. Steer clear of placing your garden in areas where high winds might knock vegetables over or prevent pollinators from completing their work. You also don't want to plant in an area that is walked on or floods frequently.
