Plan a Japanese Cherry Blossom Picnic for Hanami Season

It’s hanami season March through April in Japan, where people flock to local parks to picnic beneath sakura (cherry) trees while the gorgeous pink petals rain down. The menu for a hanami picnic includes bento boxes with sushi, salads, grilled and fried meats, pickles and tons of cherry blossom sweets. You don’t need to go to Japan to celebrate, though.
