Back in February 2017, Chrissy Teigen was working on perfecting her now-infamous banana bread. And in true Chrissy fashion, she put her Twitter following to good use when she found herself fresh out of brown bananas. So, of course she asked the Twitterverse if anyone had any that they'd be willing to trade -- for a pair of her husband John Legend's underwear, no less.
Thankfully, someone responded and quite literally saved the day.
Now, of course, after this happened, the world couldn't help but wonder why Chrissy needed these bananas that bad. That is, until she released her second cookbook, "Cravings: Hungry for More" and they got to taste the masterpiece for themselves.
Is the recipe worth the hype? I mean, it's world-famous. Because of TWITTER. And we're here to tell you that...it absolutely is.
Personally, I was a bit skeptical of the recipe because it calls for coconut. And as much as I understand that coconut is ~trendy~ or whatever, I don't feel like I need it in my banana bread. But Chrissy isn't lying when she says it adds a subtle hint of sweetness without actually making the bread taste like coconut. Oh, and there's vanilla pudding mix in the batter as well, so you know it's good. Plus chocolate!!
