Getting a good night's rest isn't always the easiest thing, and yet it makes such a difference in most aspects of your life. When you're not getting enough sleep, your body will react – increased stress, potential weight gain, slower brain function...you know how it goes. But there's always something that gets in the way of sleep, whether you're a mom of three, an overachieving student, what have you.
That said, when someone comes up with a new sleep aid (looking at you, sunrise lamps), we can't help be intrigued. So when Gracie Norton on TikTok advertises a magic potion designed to knock you right out, best believe we're listening.
Norton posted a video of herself pouring a tall glass of cherry juice garnished with magnesium and prebiotic soda to help her sleep, and the sleepy girlies are all about it.
And for good reason – there's plenty of evidence that this combination makes sense. Magnesium has long been known as a friend of sleep, and tart cherry juice (the "tart" part is important) carries melatonin, the sleep hormone. Adding the prebiotic soda is just a nice little boost, and it probably doesn't hurt to settle your tummy before bed!
